There is my problem.

I’ve used MS Office:Mac 2008 for a while and now MS has presented the SP1 for update their product and it is my job to update my application.

After I’ve updated it. I’ve found that I cannot open MS Office:Mac 2008 anymore. It always open AutoUpdate to check new available update and do not allow me to open MS Office to work.

I’ve googled it for half an hour to found that there is issue of SP1 from Recio’s Blog

This happens because Microsoft has added to SP1 a serial blacklist, so, if you always get Microsoft Auto-Update window after opening any office program, you should remove the files below, open office again and type a valid serial:

1. /Applications/Microsoft Office 2008/Office/OfficePID.plist
2. /Users/YourHome/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office 2008/Microsoft Office 2008 Settings.plist
